Try the setup guide for the Gigaset CIP. Step 1: Connecting the Gigaset Base Station to your router First, make sure your Gigaset phone is plugged in correctly: Connect one end of the supplied Ethernet cable to the side network port on the Gigaset base station.
Connect the other end to a free port on the back of your router. Connect the small circular power plug to the rear of the base station. Plug the power supply in to a V AC outlet. The Gigaset will turn on; there is no physical power switch on the base station. The Registration and Paging button on the front of the base station should light up blue. If this light does not light up blue, ensure the Ethernet cable is connected properly between the side port on the base station and your router.
Step 2: Registering the Handset to the Gigaset Base Station Please note, the supplied handset batteries may only contain a minimal initial charge and may require charging after initial configuration.
If you are unable to turn the handset on, please place the phone into the supplied charger by following the steps below to re-charge the batteries. Connect the power cable to the phone charger by sliding the power card into the slot on the back of the charger. Remove the battery cover from the rear of the handset and insert the supplied AAA rechargeable batteries.
The handset should power on and automatically register with the base station. If the handset does not turn on… Ensure the batteries have been inserted correctly. Press and hold the End Call button red phone icon for approximately 2 seconds. The phone should power on. If the phone still does not turn on the batteries may be flat.
Place the handset into the supplied charger; ensuring the charger is connected to a power supply. For quick configuration of your Gigaset, you can use the provided handset to configure your phone without the need of your computer. Alternatively, you can use a web browser on your PC. Please note that your Gigaset will require access to the Internet in order for the Connection Assistant in order to download the NodePhone settings. If you are using a handset to configure your Gigaset, check on the rear of your handset for the model number and follow the steps below.
Scroll down to Settings and press OK. Scroll down to Base and press OK. Scroll down to Telephony and press OK. Scroll down to Connection Assistant and press OK. Enter as the System PIN. Select No when asked for a provisioning code. Select Australia as the Country. Select NodePhone as the provider. Enter your NodePhone number as the Username. Enter your NodePhone number as the Authentication Name. Enter your NodePhone password as the Authentication Password.
Please follow the steps above again to ensure all details have been saved. Enter as the System PIN if prompted. Press the blue Registration and Paging button on the front of the base station.
Enter this IP address into the address bar in your web browser, and press enter. The Gigaset login screen will be displayed. Click on the Settings tab. Click Telephony. If you see Registration Failed, click on edit and follow steps to re-enter your username and password. If Status reads Disabled, ensure the Active checkbox is checked.
